چکیده: Abstract: This thesis presents a numerical simulation of the hydrodynamics and heat transfer of gas-solid fluidized bed. A simple hydrodynamic model is extended by coupling it with the energy conservation equation to predict the heat transfer between gas and solid particles in a fluidized bed. The results were extracted using Ansys Fluent software. Investigation of the effect of different factors on the heat transfer and hydrodynamics of the fluidized bed was performed. The results showed that by decreasing the velocity of inlet jet and increasing its number, higher heat transfer coefficients can be achieved but the effect of inlet velocity on heat transfer was greater. The results also showed the effect of jet location on heat transfer coefficient and volume fraction. The closer jet to the wall, has the greater heat transfer coefficient and volume fraction. Also, by changing the type of drag between the particles, the volume fraction of the bed changes. The effect of particle size on heat transfer also showed that with increasing particle diameter, heat transfer coefficient decreased.
