چکیده: Abstract: Nowadays, Concrete Deep beams are widely used in tall structures, marine structures, tank walls and bridges due to their high load capacity. Deep beams mainly have behavior affected by shearing. Creating an opening in deep beams is used for the passage of utility ducts and architectural uses, and the presence of the opening causes a drop in shear capacity. Of This present study, in addition to one and two openings created in the deep beam, a hole is also built in the length of the beam to make it hollow. Five deep concrete beams with a hole of 1200× 150 ×100 mm were made along with a solid deep beam. Four samples had one or two openings with a diameter of 100 mm and two samples were reinforced by CFRP sheets around the opening. The type of beam failure, cracking load, ultimate load, crack growth and displacement of the middle of the opening were investigated and compared in laboratory and numerical study. The results showed that the failure of all six beams is shear and the hollowing of the beam caused a 10% decrease in shear capacity compared to the case of the deep solid beam. The presence of one or two openings in the deep hollow beam caused a 7% and 29% decrease in the shear capacity, respectively, and it showed that the presence of an opening outside the load transfer path had a much smaller effect on the shear capacity of the section. The use of CFRP sheets as external reinforcement increased the shear capacity of the deep beam. The shear capacity and cracking load showed an increase of 5% and 9% respectively in the single-opening sample and 22% and 34% increase in the two-opening sample respectively. Also, the results of the laboratory study were compared with the results of the numerical study. The results obtained from the numerical study showed a difference of 10% in the displacement of the middle of the span and 8% in the cracking load compared to the laboratory results
