چکیده: Abstract: In this thesis, a special design of an absorption cycle refrigerator that works with solar energy is discussed. The solar refrigerator uses an absorbent bed collector and works with activated carbon/methanol as an absorption pair. The novelty of this work is the use of the method It is a low-cost and effective method that solves the problem of low-radiation days. In addition, a model with the fewest binding assumptions is proposed. The model built in a MATLAB program was executed with good prediction accuracy during several tests with different working conditions. It showed the effect of the cooling load as well as the effect of the refrigerant mass. The simulation was done on one of the semi-cloudy days of Sfax, Tunisia, and showed that the maximum cooling capacity was 753.33 kJand the maximum COPsolar was 0.086. Also, the proposed refrigerator was able to reduce the temperature of 4.5 kg of water to reach 0 degrees Celsius on a partly cloudy day.
