چکیده: Abstract: In recent years, the advancement of technology and the ever-increasing population in developed cities have significantly increased the need to use tall buildings. Using an efficient and optimal structural system in the design and construction of tall buildings has always been the main concern of structural designers. In tall buildings, the performance of the structure during an earthquake is very important. One of the issues that is important in the seismic performance of structures is the ability of structural components and systems to absorb and dissipate the energy entered into the structure. The mechanism of energy absorption and loss is of great importance in the design of the structure based on performance and energy-based methods. In this research, eight models in two heights of twenty and thirty story, including two models with special steel moment frame system, two models with steel braced frame system with truss belt, two models with dual system (steel special moment frame + steel special concentric braced frame) and two models are also designed with a system of close concrete columns (tube in tube) designed by ETABS software. All models are regular in height and plan. the models was analyzed by using the nonlinear time history analysis method. in terms of energy absorption, the structural system of close concrete columns to each other (tube in tube) has a better performance; In addition, with the increase in the height of the structure, the amount of energy absorption increases. In general, the structural systems which the moment frame is used have a better performance in energy absorption. In the discussion of base shear, the structural system of close concrete columns to each other (tube in tube) have a better performance than other systems. In terms of lateral displacement, in structures with fewer story, the structural system of close concrete columns together (tube in tube) and in structures with more story, the structural system of steel braced frame with truss belt have better performance than other systems. In general, it can be concluded that the structural system of close concrete columns together (tube in tube) provides the best performance among the investigated systems
