چکیده: Abstract: In recent years, many researches conducted in order to expand the use of magnesium alloys in the aerospace, electronics, automobile, sports and medical industries. Because magnesium and its alloys are biocompatible materials with appropriate biomechanical parameters that can be corroded in a biological environment, by choosing two biodegradable alloys, ZK30 and ZK60, the said cast alloys were subjected to a forward extrusion process to determine the effect of the said forming process on The microstructure and properties of hardness, tensile strength, elongation percentage, compressive strength and failure strain be investigated. Extruding the samples was done at temperatures 250°C and 350°C and also speeds of 1mm/min and 4mm/min. In the present study, the effect of factors such as hammering speed, forming temperature and zinc percentage of the alloy has been studied by performing full factorial tests on ultimate tensile strength, elongation percentage, ultimate compressive strength, fracture strain and hardness. Although after the forward extrusion process, double grain structure was observed for the temperature of 250°C, but at the temperature of 350°C, the microstructure of both alloys showed recrystallized grains. The forward extrusion process caused the increase hardness, compressive strength and tensile strength. However, the failure strain under compressive load was reduced for all samples produced by extrusion and also at the temperature of 250°C, the percentage of elongation decreased for the speeds of 1mm/min and 4mm/min, But at 350°C, the material is softer and the percentage of tensile elongation increased. The results of the full factorial test showed that the most effective factor on hardness, ultimate tensile strength and ultimate compressive strength is the zinc percentage of the .alloy. Also, temperature was shown to be the most important factor for changes in elongation percentage and failure strain
