چکیده: Abstract: In the resistance spot welding process, the connection of metal sheets in contact with each other is generated by the heat produceed by the electrical resistance of the contact surface of the workpieces against electric current. This process is used commercially for welding components of low carbon steel, low strength alloy steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper alloy. In this investigation, the effects of welding parameters, welding time and welding current on tensile-shear strength of welded joints of St14 steel sheets with a thickness of 1 mm have been investigated. Steel samples were made and tensile shear test was performed using SANTAM tensile testing machine. With increased welding current and welding time, the diameter of the weld nugget increased and strength increases. During the tests, three types of breaking failure were observed as; (1) separation, (2) knotting and, (3) tearing. At currents of 20 and 30 amps, the weld strength was low, so separation fatigue was observed. The current of 45 amps and a time of 3 seconds had the highest strength among the accepted samples
