History of the establishment and brief introduction of the faculty

  The Faculty of Engineering of Bu-Ali-Sina University, with its nearly 44 years of history and with its capable and experienced faculty members, spaces, facilities, laboratory equipment, and appropriate educational and research workshops, enjoys a special position, especially in the western region of the country.
The six main engineering departments, including civil, mechanical, industrial, electrical, computer, and materials, are operating in 23 different majors in this faculty and accept students at the undergraduate, master, and doctoral levels in various majors. Currently, 72 full-time faculty members, including 10 professors, 17 associate professors, 44 assistant professors, and 1 instructor, are conducting research activities in the Faculty of Engineering, in addition to conducting educational activities in various specialized majors.
The existence of about 80 laboratories and educational and research workshops has improved the educational level and quality of research in this faculty. Among the laboratories, the electron microscope imaging laboratories including FESEM, TEM, SEM, XRF, XRD, geotechnical, environmental geotechnical, impact research laboratory, mechanical properties of materials and concrete have a special place in terms of equipment and services.
In recent years, an average of 180 research articles have been published annually in reputable foreign and domestic journals and a large number of articles in national and international conferences by the faculty members of the Faculty of Engineering, and a significant number of books have been published and patents have been patented. This has promoted Bu Ali Sina University in the field of engineering in international rankings.
So far, nearly 7,000 people have graduated from this faculty at associate, bachelor, master and doctoral levels and are serving in various industrial, academic and administrative centers. Currently, 1,742 students are studying in this faculty, of which 425 are at the master's level and 95 are at the doctoral level, conducting educational and research activities.
