Abstract:
In recent years, green vehicle routing problem has gained attentions from governments and trade organizations. The importance of green vehicle routing problem is caused by this reality that the current logistic distribution systems are not sustainable for long terms planning. The reason is because, moreover than the conventional economic costs, strategic logistic environmental effects are important too. In this thesis, we present a model for green vehicle routing problem with the heterogeneous fleet. Then, for solving the problem, we have applied our customized version of firefly algorithm. Two approaches have been used to apply the firefly algorithm. First approach was to use the basic version of firefly algorithm and the second version was to use the firefly algorithm based on the data mining techniques. In that we reduced solution space using decision tree method and firefly's movement made more intelligent. Finally, we demonstrated that using firefly algorithm based on the data mining has significant effects on improvements of firefly algorithm performance and solutions qualities.
