چکیده: Abstract: The need for solid-state ac-dc converters to improve power quality in power factor correction (PFC), reduce total harmonic distortion (THD) in main input networks, and fine-tune dc output voltage, prompting several topologies It has formed the basis of classic converters such as buck, boost and buck boost. Meanwhile, boost converters operating in continuous current mode (CCM) have become especially popular due to the reduced level of magnetic interference (EMI). However, due to the nonlinear behavior of the boost power factor correction, classical controllers will not be able to control properly in all operating conditions. In addition, classical controllers with dynamic system changes due to changes in system parameters are not capable of robust performance. In this regard, this study first comprehensively examines a number of single-phase and interleaved boost converters for power factor correction applications. Then the performance of classic and intelligent controllers for power factor correction control is examined. Next, a fuzzy based controller is designed to correct the single-phase and parallel power factor. The controller designed for single-phase and parallel PFCs is simulated in MATLAB software and the system responses are compared for load changes in the presence of a classic and intelligent controller. The simulation results show that the fuzzy-based intelligent controller has been more successful in reducing current and voltage overvshot than the classical control. The simulation results also show that the fuzzy based controller has been able to provide resistant performance against changes in system parameters. Key Words: (PFC, THD, EMI, BOOST PFC)
