چکیده: Abstract: The advent of fog computing and edge computing concepts in IoT has reduced the distance between sensors and processing resources, which reduced response time and network bandwidth usage. With the help of fog computing, processing can be done close to the end devices, which prevents sending large amounts of requests from the IoT environment to the cloud datacenters. Managing the resources of fog nodes is one of the main challenges in this scope. In this study, we provided a method based on clustering operations to distribute requests in the fog environment to reduce latency. In one of the available optimal algorithms, if the request destination node does not have the necessary resources for processing, by communicating with other nodes in the system, other fog nodes that can process the request are detected, and the request will be offloaded to the node with the least delay. After performing the required processing for the desired request, the response will be sent to the IoT environment through the destination fog node. In this case, in large networks, we need to spend time inquiring about each of the available nodes and finding the optimal option. To cover some disadvantages and limitations of the other proposed solutions to improve the F2F communication architecture, a mechanism is provided in this thesis to reduce the response time through clustering fog nodes that are available in the system. Clustering fog nodes and selecting nodes with the best storage and computing resources as cluster heads. In this model, if the request destination node does not have the necessary resources for processing, it communicates with other available cluster heads in the system that can process the desired request. After inquiring and calculating the time required to process and transfer the result, the request will be sent to the cluster head fog node with the least delay to respond, and the response will be sent to the IoT environment through the destination node of the request. Experiments show that the proposed method has better results than the basic method in terms of response delay, and reduces this delay by 5% in the IoT environment
