چکیده: Abstract: Today, with the advancement of technology, the need and expansion of the use of concrete in the construction industry and civil works has always faced the design limitations of engineers with new challenges. Increasing the height of buildings, increasing the length of openings, marine structures and docks, dams and architectural restrictions on the structure are among the upcoming challenges. Deep beams are one of the elements used in such structures, which are used to meet the needs of the structure and compensate for the challenges of the structure. These beams have a high weight and a higher height than other types of beams. Therefore, the heavy weight of the beam increases the displacement, makes the structure heavier and increases the moment of inertia. On the other hand, the high height of the beam prevents the passage of ducts, facilities and ventilation. Openings are used in deep beams to allow passage of ducts and other mechanical purposes. Creating an opening in deep beams has always been associated with a decrease in beam strength. In this research, six samples of deep concrete beams, including one deep solid concrete beam and five deep concrete beams with longitudinal holes, measuring 1200x150x100 mm in length, were self-made. Four samples with a circular opening in John were examined, of which two samples were reinforced with steel sheets on both sides of the opening. The results of cracking load, ultimate load, crack growth and displacement of beams were compared numerically and experimentally
